Ruby H. Hand, 100, a native of Colerain, died October 8, 2008, in her home. She was the widow of Joseph S. Hand.
Hand retired from the Virginia News Company after 29 years and was an insurance administrator with Virginia National Bank retiring after 17 years. She was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church, Norfolk.
She is survived by her brother, Vernon E. Holloman of Norfolk and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is in charge.
