Luther Freeman

Luther H. Freeman, 89, a native of Lewiston, died October 6, 2008 at his home. He was the widower of Earline B. Freeman.
Freeman served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 36 years of service.
Survivors include his son, Ronald H. Freeman of Lancaster, Calif.; two daughters, Brenda J. Freeman of Richmond, and Sharon Dorsett-Edmonds of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Springs. Interment will be held in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
