Board of Elections officials in the Roanoke-Chowan area are reporting voter registrations reaching record levels for the November 4 General Election.
As a reminder to those eligible to cast a ballot but have yet to register, the deadline to do so is 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10 at the Board of Elections office in your county of residence. Those offices are located in Bertie County (Windsor, 204 South Queen Street); Gates County (Gatesville, 112 Court Street); Hertford County (Winton, 704 North King Street) and Northampton County (Jackson, J.W. Faison Administrative Center, NC 305 North).
However, voter registration is accepted during the One-Stop (early) voting process. If an individual chooses to take that route, it does require additional time since the registration and One-Stop voting must occur concurrently.
