Gracie P. Britt, 87, a native of Nansemond County, Va., died October 6, 2008 at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.
Mrs. Britt was a member of Holy Prayer Room Church in Rich Square.
Survivors include her husband, William Britt of Ahoskie; four sons, Clifton, Bruce, and Ernest, all of Murfreesboro and Kendred Britt of Rich Square; five daughters, Florence Delancy of Beaumont, Tx, Barbara Johnson and Mildred Hastings, both of Philadelphia, Pa., Darlene Sanford of Franklin and Bernice Brown of Como; two brothers, Nathan Parker of Murfreesboro and Delaware Parker of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Vivian Hargrove of Washinton; and 26 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Prayer Room Church, Rich Square. Burial will be in Carver Park Cemetery. Hunters Funeral Home is in charge. Condolences may be went to:www.huntersfuneralhome.com
