James Howard Pledger age 87 of Aulander died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Guardian Care of Ahoskie. He was born October 16, 1920 in Northampton County to the late William James Pledger and Mary Sue Warren Pledger.
Mr. Pledger was a Navy veteran of WW II and a member of the VFW Post 11226 in Aulander.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the graveside Saturday, September 27 2008 at 2 PM in Aulander Cemetery.
Left to cherish his memory are a niece, Mary Piland of Corapeake, three nephews Chester Harrell of Suffolk,VA and Danny Harrell and Gene Harrell both of Scotland Neck.
A Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Garrett Funeral Home-Ashley Chapel,205 NC Hwy 42 West,Ahoskie,NC 27910. Memorials may be made to the VFW of Aulander.
