Clarine Futrell, 74, a native of Hertford County, died September 20, 2008 at her
residence.
She was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Futrell of the home; six sons, Jackie and Walter of Ahoskie, Robert, and Willie Jr. of Aulander, Michael of Lake Park, FL and Roosevelt Futrell of Murfreesboro;
four daughters, Ethel Futrell of Ahoskie, Catherine Lee of Aulander, Angela Draughn of Como and Sallie Kennedy of Kelford; two brothers Jessie and James Futrell of Ahoskie; one sister, Louise Spruill of Suffolk, Va.; 26 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. James Mercer. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hunter’s Funeral Home is in charge. Condolences may be left at www.huntersfuneralhome.com
