Elizabeth “Prissy” Todd Early, 88, a native of Bertie County, and formerly of Colerain, Ahoskie and Kill Devil Hills, died September 15, 2008, in Columbus Regional Hospital, Whiteville. She was the widow of Atlas Early.
Mrs. Early had worked as a shipping clerk with a garment manufacturing plant and was a member of Liberty Christian Church in Brunswick and a former member of Ahoskie Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Griggs of Raleigh and Margaret Ann Larimer of Orlando, FL; a son, Eugene Early of Apex; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m.Thursday in Hillcrest Cemetery, Colerain.
Swindell Funeral and Cremation Services of Hertford is in charge.
