Theresa Gay, 83, a native of Northampton County, died September 8, 2008 at Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth, Va.
Survivors include four children, Peggy G. Towe of Portsmouth, Sandra Charity of Charlotte, Rev. James H. Gay and Otis L. Gay, both of Conway; sisters and brothers, Laura Joyner of Portsmouth, Julia Harris of Newport News and Quint Joyner of Gaston; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zoar Missionary Baptist Church, Pendleton, by the Rev. Dr. William F. Denson Jr. Interment will be in the Flythe family cemetery. Faison’s Funeral Home, Inc., Seaboard, is in charge.
