Linwood Earl “Tender” Perry, 71, a native of Northampton County, died September 5, 2008 at Riverside Hospital, Newport News.
Perry was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church, – Hampton. He retired from New York City Transit.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Everson Perry of Yorktown; a son, Mark Steven Perry of Bridgeport, CT; a daughter, Gwenevere Curry; sisters, Bessie “Cleo” Gaddy, Gracie P. Keemer, Jennifer P. Williams and Audrey Outerbridge, all of Rich Square, Lillian P. Deloatch of Woodland and Ozella P. Melton of Aulander; one brother, William P. Perry of Pawling, NY; and one granddaughter.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Rich Square, by the Rev. Anderson W. Clary. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Rich Square, is in charge.
