Arrest made in stabbing, shooting

WOODLAND – Two Ahoskie men have been injured and third has been arrested after a stabbing and shooting that occurred near here.

According to Northampton County Sheriff Wardie Vincent, his office received a call Sunday at approximately 10:13 p.m. in reference to a stabbing and shooting at 347 Hebron Church Road near Woodland.

Once deputies arrived, they found one man shot and another stabbed.

Vincent said Brandon Holloman of Ahoskie was shot in the upper arm area and was taken to Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids before being transported to Pitt Memorial in Greenville.

The second victim, Trakel Lee of Ahoskie, was stabbed in the neck and upper body area. It is not known at this time where Lee was taken for treatment.

The medical conditions of both men are unknown at this time.

Vincent said to his understanding there had been a birthday/family reunion party at the residence when an argument and altercation occurred on the front lawn.

Blows were passed between those involved, with the result of Holloman being shot and Lee being stabbed.

Vincent said the reasons for the argument and crimes are not known at this time.

Vincent said his office arrested Torran Elroy Holloman, 24 of West Roper Street in Ahoskie, for allegedly shooting Brandon Holloman.

Torran Holloman has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serous injury. He was taken to the Northampton County Jail and placed under a $25,000 secured bond.

Vincent said the investigation is ongoing.

“There may be other arrests pending investigation,” he said.
