AULANDER – Ricky’s Corner Shop defeated MWB Repairs 9-5.

The victory came in the Aulander Youth League event here Monday night.

Matthew Weaver picked up the pitching victory when he went three innings and struck out nine batters. Woody Lowe suffered the loss while striking out two.

Ricky’s scored once in the first, five times in the second stanza and three times in the fourth to take the win.

They were led offensively by Greg Hurdle (1-for-2), Tyler Burden (1-for-2) and Matthew Weaver (1-for-3).

MWB Repairs was led by Matt Judge, who was a perfect 2-for-2. Clay Barmer checked in at 2-for-3 while Matt Calderado was 1-for-3.

Millennium Styles n 10, Golden Peanut n 3

Millennium Styles rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Golden Peanut 10-3 in a softball game here Monday.

Jessica Mobley took the pitching victory, going six innings and striking out nine. Brittany Hoggard suffered the loss.

Millennium was led by Casey Davenport and Kelsie Conner, each of who was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Jessi Harrell and Casey Minton each went 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Golden Peanut was led by Ally Rushing’s 2-for-3 performance that included a run scored and Hoggard’s 1-for-3 night at the plate.
