Earlene Felton

WINTON n Earlene Felton, 65, a native of Hertford County, died June 17, 2008 at Down East HealthCare LLC.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jordan Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. James Shearn. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is in charge.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Felton of Winton; her mother, Odell Lane of Harrellsville; one daughter, Wanda Forbes of Virginia Beach, Va.; three brothers, Jodie Lane and Calvin Lane, both of Newport News and Len Lane of Hampton; one sister, Margaret Charity of Hampton; and two grandchildren.

John H. Rogers

NORFOLK, Va. n John H. Rogers, 65, a native of Northampton County, died June 17, 2008 at Sentara Hospital.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk, by Bishop E.J. Lillard. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Bryantville Park, Como. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is in charge.

Survivors include two daughters, Rachel Ann Williams and Shanna Johnson, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Minister Calvin Rogers of Norfolk and Willie Rogers of Pendleton; two sisters, Marie Rogers and Minister Darlene Branch, both of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

Pearlie Killebrew

ROCKY MOUNT n Pearlie Killebrew, 88, died June 19, 2008.

A visitation will be conducted from 10-11 a.m. Friday at H.D. Pope Funeral Home Chapel, Rocky Mount. A funeral will follow immediately at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Pipper family cemetery, Contoe.

Charles C. Jones

KELFORD – Charles Chester Jones, a native of Bertie County, died June 18, 2008 at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville.

Jones was a member of First Baptist Church Kelford. He attended the Bertie County Public Schools and in New York.

Survivors include his mother, Annie J. Smallwood of Kelford; one son, Stephen Jones of

San Diego, CA; four daughters, Carlita Jones, Tarika

Jones, Tashima Jones and Charlene Jones, all of

Jersey City, NJ; seven siblings, Delores Jones of Brooklyn, NY, Stanley Jones of Orlando, FL, Jean Middleton of Hampton, Va., Sherman Jones of

Boston, Ma., Gregory Jones of Virginia Beach, Lisa Daughtry of Ahoskie and Diane Basnight of Lewiston; and four grandchildren.
