ViQuest rolls to victory

AULANDER – ViQuest scored 18 times in the second inning and defeated Metal Tech 22-16 in an Aulander Youth League game here Friday.
Metal Tech had scored 11 runs in the first and two in the second to take a 13-4 lead before ViQuest rallied.
Offensively Lauren Coley led ViQuest with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate that included a grandslam homerun. She also scored three times.
Brittany Parker and Chelsey Barber were also a perfect 3-for-3 for ViQuest.
Metal Tech was paced by Desiree James, who was 1-for-1. Alexis House and Hali Perry were each 1-for-3.
Millennium Civic Org. n 29, Burke Trucking n 3
Millennium Civic Organization scored 10 times in the first inning and rolled to a 29-3 win over Burke Trucking in the Coach Pitch League Friday.
Millennium was led by Cole Liverman who was 4-for-4 with four runs scored. Desmond Overton was 3-for-4 and scored four runs while Blake Byrum was 2-for-4 and scored three times.
Andre Mitchell paced Burke Trucking by going 2-for-2. Kaley Minton was 1-for-1 with a run scored and Nick Morris was 1-for-2 with a run scored.
