AHOSKIE – The Senior American Legion game between Ahoskie Post 102 and Nash County Post 58 was suspended here Tuesday.

The game was halted with one out in the top of the fourth frame with Nash County lead 11-0 due to lightning.

Post 58 scored two runs in the first inning, four runs in the second and five in the third to take the lead.

Ahoskie had two hits, an Eli Spruill single in the bottom of the first and a Joe Harrell base hit in the bottom of the third.

The game will be completed at Nash County on June 24 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The regularly scheduled game will follow.

Ahoskie will not play their conference opener at Edgecombe County tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m. Post 102 enters the game 1-4 overall.

They will host Wilson County at 7 p.m. Saturday.
