APD seeks robbery suspects

AHOSKIE – Two suspects are sought by the Ahoskie Police Department in connection with an alleged robbery here May 31.

During the robbery, two victims were reportedly bound by duct tape inside a North Street residence while a third was assaulted, requiring medical attention.

According to Ahoskie Police Detective Sgt. Stephen White, the three victims, all standing outside the residence at approximately 11:30 p.m., were approached by two black males. The suspects forced the victims inside the residence at which time a robbery occurred. White said money and jewelry were taken during the heist.

Suspect number one was described as standing approximately 6’-1” and weighing 185 pounds. He had short hair and was of light complexion. He wore a red bandana covering his face.

Suspect number two stood approximately 5’-9” and weighed around 215 pounds. This dark complexion male had long hair (in braids or “dreadlocks”) and his face was covered by a black or dark colored bandana.

Both suspects wore dark clothing and both were described in their late teens or early 20’s.

Following the robbery, it was reported they fled on foot in an unknown direction.
