Scott paces Ricky#8217;s Corner Shop

AULANDER – Michael Scott’s outstanding performance paced Ricky’s Corner Shop here Wednesday in the Aulander Youth League.
Scott struck out nine on the mound while picking up the pitching victory as Ricky’s Corner Shop defeated Liverman’s Metal Recycling 14-2.
Scott also went 2-for-3 at the plate to help pace his club offensively. Tyler Burden checked in at 1-for-1 for the evening.
Liverman’s was led by Tyler Jones and Eric Baggett, each of whom had a 1-for-2 night.
Golden Peanut n 14, Millennium Styles n 10
Golden Peanut scored six times in the fourth inning to surge to a 14-6 lead and held on to defeat Millennium Styles 14-10 here Wednesday.
Allie Rushing led Golden Peanut with a 2-for-3 night at the plate including three runs scored and Brittany Howell added a 2-for-3 night with two runs scored.
Millennium Styles was led by Jessi Harrell, who was 2-for-2, and Lauren Lassiter, who was 1-for-2.
Taylor White was the winning pitcher for Golden Peanut while Jessica Mobley struck out four in the loss.
Neo-Pods n 13, Burke Trucking n 5
The Northeastern Orthopedics Neo-pods defeated Burke Trucking 13-5 in a Coach Pitch game here Thursday.
The Neo-pods were led by Mike Barber and Brandon Roberson, each of whom was 2-for-2. Alden Cooke was 1-for-2.
Burke Trucking had three batters check in at 1-for-1. They were Collin Peace, Nick Morris and Justin Green.
MWB Repairs n 12, Liverman Metal Recycling n 10
MWB Repairs jumped out to a 5-0 lead and went on to defeat Liverman Metal Recycling 12-10 here Thursday night.
Matt Judge led MWB with a 3-for-3 night that included three runs scored while Chris Calderado was 1-for-3 with one run.
Liverman’s was led by Eric Baggett, Brian Bland and Christian Bland, all of whom were 2-for-3.
