MERRY HILL – Lawrence Academy closed out the regular season with a win here Friday.

The Lady Warriors put together a four-run first and never looked back in defeating visiting Rocky Mount Academy 10-0 in a non-conference matchup.

Junior pitcher Kendall Street started on the mound for the Warriors and went three innings without allowing a run. She was relieved by right-hander Jennifer White, who tossed the final two innings.

The Warriors were led offensively by their pitchers, who each went 2-for-3 on the day.

Lawrence scored four first-inning runs, added three in the second, one in the third and closed out the game with two runs in the fifth.

They closed out the regular season 18-1 overall and 11-0 in the TIC.

They will be back in action next week in the Tarheel Independent Conference tournament.
