Donnie Taylor
POTECASI n Donnie Lee Taylor, 49, a native of Northampton County, died March 1, 2007 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mill Branch Baptist Church, Aulander, by the Rev. Ronald Dolberry. Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, is in charge.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Areline Taylor of Potecasi; a daughter, Kimberly Harris of Aulander; brothers, Bernard Taylor of Greenwood, SC, James P. Taylor of Windsor, Willie L. Taylor of Rich Square, James R. Taylor III and Terry L. Taylor, both of Potecasi, Kenneth Taylor of Kelford and Curtis Taylor of Murfreesboro; sisters, Jennifer D. Vinson and Carolyn E. Futrell, both of Murfreesboro; and two grandchildren.
Sarah E. Williams
LEWISTON n Sarah Ellen Williams, 32, a native of Hertford County, died March 5, 2007 at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Woodville Plains Missionary Baptist Church, Lewiston, by the Rev. Robert Walton. Burial will be in Weeping Mary Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Inc., Aulander, is in charge.
She was a member of Woodville Plains Baptist Church and a graduate of Bertie High School.
Survivors include her parents, LeRoy and Elma Williams of Lewiston; and her brothers, Tyrone Williams of Greenville and Howard Williams of Lewiston.
James L. Brimley
ROXOBEL n James Lewis “Jay Brimley” Brimley, 62, a native of Northampton County, died March 2, 2007 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, Roxobel, by the Rev. Lycurgus Harrell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, is in charge.
Brimley was a farm worker and a member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church, Roxobel.
Survivors include his sons, James Lewis Brimley Jr. and Tony Brimley, both of Paterson, NJ; one daughter, Iccie Walden of Wilmington; brothers, Willie Lee Brimley of Roxobel and Oliver Brimley of Rich Square; a sister, Laura Brimley of Rich Square; and grandchildren.
Albert A. Adkins
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Albert Arthur Adkins, 68, a native of Ahoskie, died February 28, 2007.
Adkins served as an electrician technician in the Air Force.
Survivors include a sister, Joan A. Anderson; and two brothers, John W. Adkins and Dr. William E. Adkins.

Dixie B. Boyd
GATESVILLE – Dixie Hope Briggs Boyd, 82, a native of Gates County, died March 5, 2007, at the Down East Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of James Everette Boyd.
Mrs. Boyd was a
member of Liberty Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Patsy B. Ward of Gates; a son, Joseph Allen of Penticton, B.C., Canada; three sisters, Frances B. Kincaid, Ruby B. Griggs and Louise B. Wiggins, all of Suffolk; two brothers, Howard E. &uot;Jack&uot; Briggs of Norfolk and William Earl Briggs of Manns Harbor; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. T.A. Powell. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
Florence J. Eure
EURE – Florence Jones &uot;Flossie&uot; Eure, 80, a native of Gates County, died March 5, 2007, in her home.
Mrs. Eure was formerly employed as a clerk in the Clyde Jones General Store, she was an active member of Eure Christian Church and a life member of the Ladies Fellowship.
Survivors include her husband, Z. Delton Eure; a daughter, Teresa E. Winslow of Belvidere; a son, Ron Eure of Crofton, Md.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Eure Christian Church by the Rev. Michael Brinkley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Wiggins of Philadelphia, Pa., Lucille Woods of Havelock and Joan White of Redding, Penn.; three brothers, Wadrie Taylor of Ahoskie, Luther Taylor of Colerain and Thomas Taylor of Cofield; two sisters, Syble Thomas of Ahoskie and Elouise Watford of Cofield; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jefferson was a truck driver for Perdue, Inc. He was a member of Mt. Ararat Church, Windsor.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jefferson of Ahoskie; one son, Donald H. Jefferson Jr. of Ahoskie; two daughters, Tarsha Daniels and Porsha Jefferson, both of Ahoskie; his mother, Annie Watson Jefferson; four brothers, Horace Jefferson Jr. of Colerain, Sherman Jefferson of Portsmouth, Va., Anthony Jefferson of Middletown, Conn.; and Patrick Jefferson of Colerain; one sister, Cheryl Jefferson Winborne of Windsor; and two grandchildren.

SKIPPERS, Va. n William Waverly “Buddy Boy” Lee Jr., 80, a native of Northampton County, died March 4, 2007 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids.

MURFREESBORO n Euzelia Hawkins “Sister” Jones, 82, a native of Hertford County, died March 6, 2007 at Rich Square Health Center, Rich Square.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Parker’s Grove Baptist Church and a retired teacher with Hertford Public Schools.
Survivors include a daughter, Millicent J. Jones of Winton; a son, George “Mack” Jones of Durham; two goddaughters, Pastor Peggy Beale of Murfreesboro and Margaret Marshall of Charlotte; a sister, Hazel Elmore of Brooklyn, NY; a brother, Randolph Hawkins of Murfreesboro; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth P. Everette
RALEIGH n Elizabeth Peebles Everette, 54, a native of Hertford County, died March 3, 2007 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh.

Mrs. Everette was a member of Nebo Baptist Church and a choir member.
