Bank robber remains on the loose

SCOTLAND NECK – A bank robbery occurred Monday morning at the BB&T on Main Street in Scotland Neck.
According to Scotland Neck Police Chief Doug Pilgreen, the suspect entered the bank at approximately 10:42 a.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The note also stated that the suspect had a weapon, though no weapon was ever displayed.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken.
Pilgreen said after the robbery the suspect ran behind the bank and got into a white car, possibly a Ford Taurus.
Pilgreen said the car was last seen going north on US 258 toward Rich Square.
At the time of the robbery the suspect wore a dark coat and bandages over his face.
The suspect is still at large.
