Miller paces Bethel

ASKEWVILLE — Mindy Miller poured in 16 points here last week as Bethel Christian Academy upended visiting Pungo Christian Academy 34-31.
The Lady Eagles and PCA were tied at five after one quarter of play, but Bethel edged ahead 13-9 by the intermission.
The Lady Raiders surged back in the third quarter to take a 21-20 lead heading into the final period of play, but Bethel came back to secure the victory.
In addition to Miller’s offensive output, the Lady Eagles got eight points from Kelli Hoggard, five from Jamee Mizelle and four from Kayla Overton. Martina Hill rounded out the scoring.
The Lady Eagles will be back in action tonight (Tuesday) when they travel to Albemarle School. The contest begins at 5 p.m.
