Two jailed on drug charges

JACKSON – Two drug-related arrests have been made early in the month of November.
A Rich Square woman and a Roanoke Rapids man both face charges after being arrested by the Northampton County Drug Unit.
According to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, Kelvin Rook, 28, of 1212 Rebecca Street in Roanoke Rapids was arrested November 1.
He was charged with sell and delivery of cocaine and possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine. He was placed in the Northampton County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.
Two days later, 62-year-old Geraldine Pugh of 196 Lincoln Park Drive in Rich Square was arrested under drug charges.
Pugh was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver Schedule II controlled substances, maintaining a vehicle, place or dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was placed in the Northampton County Jail under a $21,000 secured bond.
