Bethel Assembly Christian Academy claimed a Final Four appearance in volleyball.
The Lady Eagles, who entered the North Carolina Christian Athletic Association as a number four seed, won their opening round match.
Bethel defeated number five seeded Jacksonville in two sets. Bethel garnered a 25-15 and 25-13 victory to advance in the double-elimination tournament.
After the win, the Lady Eagles were matched up with the tournament’s top seed and perennial favorite Gramercy. Gramercy won the contest in two games, defeating Bethel 25-8 and 25-14.
Dropped into the loser’s bracket, the Lady Eagles responded by knocking off conference foe Ahoskie Christian School.
Bethel claimed a 25-6 and 25-16 victory in the match.
The Lady Eagles then met third-seeded Fellowship Christian and dropped a 25-14 and 25-15 loss.
The result was a top four finish for the Lady Eagles, who will now advance to regionals for the first time in school history. Those matchups are slated for this weekend.
