PAWS of Hertford County Inc. is doing their best to help join dogs and those who need them in this county.

Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, workers will be at the Hertford County Animal Shelter offering pets for adoption. There are more than a dozen animals that can be taken home Saturday for just a $35 adoption fee.

In the light of everything that has gone on in the past year concerning pet adoption in this region, their service is a needed one.

We urge those who are looking for a pet to start with PAWS and try to find a loving, caring animal to take home.

There are a number of terrific pets that are available today and would make good friends and good companions for those who want a pet.

Support the work in Hertford County and adopt a pet today.
