RCCC hires key personnel

AHOSKIE – According to school President Dr. Ralph Soney, Roanoke Chowan Community College is going through a restructuring phase.
Tuesday night, Soney presented several new employees who’s hirings are meant to jump start that process.
At RCCC’s Board of Trustees meeting Soney introduced six additions to the college’s staff.
Thomas Schwartz of Ahoskie was named FIT Director/Resource Development Officer.
James Messer of Mooresville was hired as the Instructor/Coordinator of AFA & Building Construction Technology.
Christshawn Gilliam of Windsor was named the Coordinator of Student Activities. Gilliam is a former standout football player at Bertie High School East Carolina University.
Donna Vann of Rich Square was hired as the college’s Cashier/Accounts receivable Clerk. Vann is a former graduate of RCCC.
Robert Chadwick of Ahoskie was named Coordinator of Weekend and Evening Programs. Chadwick had previously been the Director of the Hertford County Schools &uot;Gear Up&uot; program.
A.J. Tyson of Bethel will be replacing Robert Williams as Dean of Continuing Education Economic and Community Development.
Williams has occupied that office for over 10 years.
