Enoch Peeples

BOYKINS, Va. – Enoch Peeples, 71died March 25, 2006, at the Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church, Jackson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Faison’s Funeral Home, Seaboard, is in charge.

Gwendolyn Taylor

BOWIE, MD n Gwendolyn Taylor, 48, formerly of Rocky Mount, died March 26, 2006.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Light of Peace Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Gardens of Gethsamane. Lieutenant Wiggins Jr.

GATES n Lieutenant Wiggins Jr., 52, a native of Suffolk, Va., died March 28, 2006 at Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Como. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Vanessa Wiggins of Paolipa, Pa.; two daughters, RaKitra Wiggins of Conway and Kisha Turner of Raleigh; two sons, Terrance Deloatch of Murfreesboro and Devin Wiggins of Raleigh; and 11 grandchildren.

Francis E. Holloman

MURFREESBORO – Francis Eley Holloman, 87, of the 1200 block of U.S 158

West, died March 29, 2006 at Forsythe Medical Center in Winston Salem, N.C.

He was a native of Bertie County, the son of the late Herman J. and Elizabeth Cobb Holloman, and was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Annie Early Holloman, a retired farmer and served as a technician for U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation Service. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Choir Member, and Church treasurer for many years. He was a member of the Murfreesboro Lions Club and served and Treasurer for many years, a member of the Roanoke Chowan Wildlife Club, and serves as Treasurer of the local Woodmen of the World Society.

Surviving are two daughters; Pat H. Kline, Hampton, Va., Betty H. Jensen and husband John, Winston Salem, N.C., one brother;

Rudolph Holloman and wife Phyllis, Toledo, OH.; four grandchildren; David Kline and wife Amorette, Chesapeake, Va., Holly Kline, Hampton, Va., Johnny Jensen, Raleigh, N.C., and Tommy Jensen, Asheville, N.C.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Holloman will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 3, 2006 at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, N.C. with the Rev. Wint Hale officiating, with interment to follow in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-4:30 P.M. Sunday, April 2, 2006, and other times at the home. Flowers will be accepted or those wishing to make contributions may do so to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church 814. U.S. 158 West, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
