ASKEWVILLE – Two Bethel Christian Academy players broke the 25-point barrier here Friday night.

The performances by Trey Denton and Larry Caldwell were more than enough to help the Eagles soar to a 92-58 victory over visiting Heritage.

The Eagles, who got off to a 23-7 lead after the first quarter, got 31 points from Denton and 29 from Caldwell as they rolled to 12-4 on the season.

After leading by a 44-26 count at the intermission, Bethel continued to pull away, leading 73-41 by the end of the third period and then securing the victory.

Josh Freeman racked up 18 points during the contest while Stephen Miller added eight. Josh Askew had four for the Eagles and Jonathan Hoggard added two points.

Isaac Poelman led Heritage with 22 points on the evening.

The Eagles will meet Calvary tonight (Tuesday) before traveling to Lawrence Academy on Thursday.

Bethel returns home Friday for a Homecoming night affair with Liberty.
