EDENTON – Brent Hignite of Ahoskie won the Colonial Men’s Single’s Tennis Title here earlier this month.

Hignite defeated Ken Sweatman of Elizabeth City 6-0 and 6-0 in the semifinals.

He claimed the title by knocking off Alex Boehling of Edenton by a count of 6-0 and 6-0.
