AHOSKIE – Softball lovers in the three-county area (Hertfort, Northampton and Bertie) have a new opportunity to play their favorite game through the formation of the new West Chowan Association Softball League.

The new league is comprised of 12 teams from Baptist and other denominations in the area.

Opening ceremonies will begin Saturday, July 16 at 3 p.m. and the first pitch of the first game will be thrown by the Rev. John Pond, the Director of Missions for the West Chowan Association at 4 p.m.

The Public is invited to attend the games and opening ceremonies at the ball field behind the West Chowan Baptist Association Office on Highway 42.
