WOODLAND – Twenty years and still going strong.
One of the Roanoke-Chowan area’s most popular and entertaining events is scheduled for Saturday, July 16 when the Woodland Volunteer Fire Department celebrates the 20th year of its Shrimp Feast.
As is tradition, the event runs from 5-8:30 p.m.
The menu is just as traditional – lip smacking steamed shrimp, savory cole slaw, delicious corn on the cob, crackers, seafood sauce and everyone’s favorite beverages.
Tickets are on sale at $20 each from now until June 30. They are available from any Woodland fireman. No tickets are sold at the gate.
For the second consecutive year, &uot; The Red Line Band&uot; will provide the musical entertainment. Their wide range of talent was a hit at last year’s event.
