SEVERN – State Road 1339 near here will soon be closed for 11 days.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, SR 1339 in Northampton County will be closed from February 14 through February 25.

The road is known as Branch Bridges Road, according to E-911 addressing in Northampton County.

The closing will be to replace the decking on the bridge.

SR 1339 is located between Severn and Margarettsville in northern Northampton County. The bridge crosses the Meherrin River.

The road runs north from State Road 1333 into Southampton County in Virginia.
