MERRY HILL – Terra Ceia completed their varsity sweep at Lawrence Academy as the Knights defeated the Warriors 70-56 here Tuesday night..
The Warriors came on strong in the second half, but turnovers killed the comeback according to rookie skipper Robert Kravitz. Despite the rally, it wasn’t enough to pull out a victory in the Tarheel Independent Conference outing.

Brothers Bradley and Kyle Van Essendelft of Terra Ceia ran the score up to end the first period 20-8.
The second period was a little better as the Warriors scored 12 points led by Judd Whitehead who hit the basket five times, followed by baskets by Fuheem Amod, Chad Simmons, and Barber, but the brothers duo of the Knights finished the half off with a half time score of 37-20.
The third period was the same as Lawrence’s Barber went to the net four times, and Whitehead three times, one of those a trey, but the Van Essendelft brothers along with Phillip Vander Weit led the Knights’ attack to end the third 51-37.
