AHOSKIE – It’s a win-win situation for all.
The Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald and the Belk store in Ahoskie are teaming with the Salvation Army in their annual Bell-Ringing for the holidays.
On Dec. 7-9 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), those making a minimum of a $1 donation to the Salvation Army will receive a special coupon from Belk, part of retail chain’s &uot;Share the Gifts&uot; program. Those Belk coupons can be redeemed for up to 20 percent off selected merchandise during regular business hours on Dec. 7-9.
In addition, the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald will donate $10 to the Salvation Army for every one-year subscription sold on Dec. 7-9. Carrie Paquette, Subscriber Services Manager for The News-Herald, will have a booth set up outside Belk’s main entrance from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Dec. 7-9. Look for the bright red Salvation Army kettle where at least a $1 donation will earn the giver a Belk coupon.
