Annie F. Lee

AHOSKIE – Annie Falice Lee, 97, a native of Hertford County, died August 21, 2004 at Guardian Care of Ahoskie.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Union with the Rev. Robert Holloman. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ahoskie. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is in charge.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Ann Cobb of Ahoskie; sisters and brothers, Linwood Falice, Evelyn Smith and Rebecca Falice, all of Ahoskie, King Falice of Windsor, Rosetta Fennell of Newport News, Va., Flossie Falice of Philadelphia, Pa., Bessie Howell and Mable Falice, both of Richmond; three grandchildren; and two grandchildren.

Sallie G. Bazemore

LEWISTON – Sallie G. Bazemore, died August 22, 2004, at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation Center, Windsor. She was the widow of Karie Bazemore.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Conoconary Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Alton Edwards. Burial will be in the Hoggard family cemetery, Bertie County. Reynolds Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.

Mrs. Bazemore was a member of Conoconary Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, John Gilliam of Lewiston; a daughter, Nellie Little of Ahoskie; five brothers, George Thomas and David Gilliam, all of Windsor and Frank and Joe Gilliam, both of Atlantic City, N.J.; one sister, Annie White of Windsor; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Earlena Watson

LEWISTON – Earlena Watson, 49, a native of Bertie County, died August 21, 2004 at her residence.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Weeping Mary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Inc., Aulander, is in charge.

She was employed as a home health nurses aide.

Survivors include her mother, Evora Williams of Lewiston; two sons, Thomas Watson of Windsor and Jeffery B. Chamblee of Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Dominique S. Watson, Sad\u00E9 Y. Watson and Seymone A. Chamblee, all of Detroit; four brothers, the Rev. Robert Watson of Detroit, McKinley Williams and Ronald Williams, both of Lewiston and David &uot;Kent&uot; Williams of Raleigh; one sister, Theresa Williams of Lewiston; and four grandchildren.

Carol J. Watford

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. – Carol J. Watford, 54, a native of Ahoskie, died August 21, 2004 at her residence.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Colerain by Bishop Robert Wise. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.

Survivors include one son, Patrick Watford; her mother, Susie Watford; two brothers, Thurman and Melvin; five sisters, Essie Davis, Barbara Askew, Susie Jones, Janice Watford and Alice Watford; and one granddaughter.

William T. Todd

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – William Thomas &uot;Wetom&uot; Todd, 66, a native of Windsor, died August 20, 2004, in Spring Valley, N.Y.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Charles Beamon in Fourth Baptist Church, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Portsmouth. Todd was employed by Rockland State Hospital in New York and was a former member of Fourth Baptist Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include his daughter, Fonda Todd; stepdaughter, Jeanna Adderley; son, William Gregory Todd; stepson, Joseph Forman; mother, Mary Todd; sister, Lillian Toppins; brother, Garvey Todd Jr.; half brother, Mark Hairston; and five grandchildren.

William Warren

WINDSOR – William Warren, 68, died August 23, 2004, in Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Colerain. Burial will be in Ashland Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Merry Hill.

Rita Jenkins

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Rita Jenkins, 53, a native of Harlem, died August 23, 2004.

A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Cherry-Bazemore family cemetery, Lewiston. The family will meet at the home of Mrs. Hattie E. Parks, 417 Horton Church Road at 3 p.m. for the processional.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Jenkins of Bronx; a daughter, Sherry Nicholas-Singleton of Bronx; two sisters, Eunice Jenkins and Hester Jenkins, both of New York; and one grandson.

Andrew S. Mason

AHOSKIE – Andrew S. Mason, 66, a native of Hertford County, died August 24, 2004 at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Ahoskie Baptist Church by the Rev. Patrick Young. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.

Mason was a retired machine mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Mason; two sons, Andrew Mason Jr. of Gambrills, Md., and Fatress Moore of Raleigh; four daughters, Cynthia Wright of Fuquay Varina, Bernita Nichols of Garner, Almira Marshall of Durham and Elvira Spiers of Como; one brother, Henry Mason of Hampton, Va.; two sisters, Christine Britt of Murfreesboro and Shirley Dashield of Durham; and eight grandchildren.
