Bandits are perfect

WINDSOR – The Bertie Bandits went 6-0 in during the recently concluded soccer season.

The Bandits, a team offered through the Bertie County Recreation Department, defeated the Tornados, El’Ninos, Cyclones, Edenton, the Storm and the Typhoons to claim the perfect mark.

Every player contributed to the team’s success during the year.

In game one, the Bandits topped the Tornados 6-1. Ezekiel Brown and RaSean McArthur each scored two goals during the contest.

In the second outing, Bertie won 8-0 over the El’Ninos. Brown scored four goals in the second half while Pearless Speller led the goal keeping efforts with assistance from Sierra Jernigan, Michael Johnson and Chelsea Medrick. In the second half, Tino Hakata kept goal with help from Christopher Harrell and Lyiah Harmon.

In game three, the Bandits won 15-0 while Bertie won 23-1 over Edenton in game four.

Bertie continued their season with a 10-0 victory over the storm thanks to scores from McArthur, Hakata and Davis Todd.

Following that victory, they grabbed a 13-0 win over the Typhoons.
