Martimiano Resendiz-Godoy
AULANDER – Martimiano Resendiz-Godoy, 26, a native of Ninthi Tecozavtia Hgo, Mexico, died May 15, 2004.
A funeral was conducted Wednesday at St. Charles Catholic Church by Father McGee. Burial will be in Mexico at a later date. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Inc., Aulander, was in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Delos Angeles Alfaro; one son, Martin Resendiz Jr. of Aulander; his parents, Bernabe Resendiz Angeles and Guillermina Gody Chavez of Gatesville; two sisters, Teresa Rendiz Godoy of Hendersonville and Beatriz Resendiz Godoy of Kenly; two brothers, Samuel Resendiz Godoy of Snow Hill and Remido Resendiz Godoy of Kenly; and his grandparents, Fortunato Santiago Artiaga, Carmen Chavez Chavez, Amador Resendiz Resendiz and Juana Angeles Vieto, all of Mexico.
Emma Stephenson
COMO – Emma Stephenson, 70, a native of Northampton County, died May 11, 2004, at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
A funeral was conducted Tuesday at Menola Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby Warren. Burial was in the church cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Inc., Aulander, was in charge.
She was a member of Menola Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include seven sons, Sam of Windsor, Nathaniel of Conway, Staff Sgt. Donnie of Rocky Mount, stationed in Iraq, Joseph of Philadelphia, Pa., Roosevelt of Lawrenceville, NJ, Arthur of Trenton and Joe of Nashville; one brother, Robert Smith of Wilson; five grandchildren; and 10 stepgrandchildren.
Stanley Vaughan
AHOSKIE – Stanley Vaughan, 72, died May 17, 2004, at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.
Nell B. Steward
RICH SQUARE – Nell Baugham Steward, 81, died May 15, 2004.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Willow Oak AME Church by the Rev. James P. Baker. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Smith-Whidbee Funeral Home, Rich Square, is in charge.
