Jesse Phillips

RICH SQUARE – Jesse Phillips, 46, a native of Northampton County, died March 28, 2004, at Autumn Care Nursing Home, Rich Square.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Anthony Flood. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.

Survivors include a son, Jesse T. Pugh of Rich Square; a daughter, Kimberly R. Butler of Rich Square; his father, Felix Phillips of Rich Square; two brothers, Nathaniel Phillips of Ahoskie and Larry Blount of Rich Square; five sisters, Brenda Hines of Knightdale, Louise Phillips of East Orange, N.J., Geneva George of Clifton, Annie Phillips and Sharon Phillips, both of Rich Square and Joyce Jacobs of California.

James Eure

FRANKLIN, Va. – James Eure, died March 23, 2004.

A funeral was conducted Wednesday at Mill Neck Baptist Church, Como. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home was in charge.

Armetha Askew

WINDSOR – Armetha Askew, 36, died March 25, 2004.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Peterson

Chapel Baptist Church, Merry Hill. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Windsor. Gilliam Funeral Home is in charge.

Evette B. Warren

NORFOLK, Va. – Evette &uot;Bono&uot; K. Boddie Warren, 31, died March 25, 2004, in her home.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Crown Plaza Hotel, formerly The Clarion, 4453 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, by Brother Tony Jordan. P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services, Inc., is in charge.

Mrs. Warren once was employed at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.

Survivors include her husband, Sean Warren of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Evelyn L. Boddie; three sons, Emerson Boddie, Reshawn and Keshawn Warren, all of Norfolk; her mother, Ernell Turner Goodard; her father, Emmitt Boddie III of Winton and Emery Boddie of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Emily &uot;Sugar&uot; Boddie and Evelle Boddie, all of Norfolk; paternal grandmother, Luella Boddie of Chesapeake; and stepgrandmother, Lillie Mae Goddard of Norfolk.

Ella Fleetwood

AHOSKIE – Ella Louise Perry Fleetwood, died March 29, 2004 at Guardian Care Nursing Home, Ahoskie.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Ahoskie Baptist Church by the Rev. Patrick Young. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ahoskie. Reynolds Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.

Mrs. Fleetwood was a member of New Ahoskie Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia F. Fleetwood of Aulander; one brother, Samuel Perry of Charlotte; five sisters, Jeanette Moore of Pennsylvania, Flora Banks of Edenton, Mary Montague, Hazel Mitchell and Elizabeth Grant, all three of Ahoskie; and two grandchildren.
