WOODLAND – Seventeen year-old Larry Q. Joyner Jr. of the Rich Square area was charged last Wednesday, March 17, with breaking and entering a 1993 Ford Escort.
Joyner is believed to have broken into the vehicle, which was parked on Menola Road, just outside Woodland, on March 14, in an attempt to steal expensive radio equipment.
According to Detective Brenda Burnette of Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect allegedly attempted to steal over $500 worth of car stereo equipment, including an amplifier and crossover.
The teen was arrested last Friday after authorities received an anonymous tip regarding his alleged involvement in the case. Joyner has since been released from police custody after posting bond.
He is currently under probation and awaiting a probable cause hearing.
The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
