WINDSOR – In preparation for the Bertie County Democratic Party Presidential Preference Caucus, the County Executive Committee will meet later today (Thursday) at 7 p.m. at the County Court House, it was announced by County Chairman Lewis Hoggard.

Members of the executive committee include Bertie County Democratic Party officers, chairs and first chairs of each of the 11 precincts and elected officers, county commissioners, clerk of court, register of deeds and sheriff.

Precinct meetings will follow on Tuesday, March 9 at precinct voting locations.

Plans for the Presidential Preference Caucus on Saturday, April 17, will be made at precinct and county executive committee levels.

The county convention will also be held on Saturday, April 17.
