Melissa Jenkins (right in photo), a senior guard for the Northeast Academy Lady Eagles, receives Carolina Academy Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player this past Saturday night following the final conference play between Northeast and Halifax Academy. Though the Eagles lost the championship game to the Vikings of Halifax, Jenkins outscored all other players as she hit her career high 19 points. The award is being handed to Jenkins by Sara Sykes, a representative of Hobgood Academy, host of the final CAC Tournaments.
