Ridgecroft jv’s clinch share of title

AHOSKIE – Ridgecroft School’s junior varsity volleyball team clinched a share of the Tarheel Independent Conference’s regular season championship last week by hammering out a 22-25, 25-22, 15-12 win over Terra Ceia Christian School.

Ridgecroft’s jayvees are currently 12-1 overall and 8-1 in league play.

Meanwhile, Ridgecroft’s varsity squad also tasted victory vs. Terra Ceia as they claimed a 25-20, 25-14, 25-22 win in straight sets. That victory lifted the Lady Rams at 8-5 overall and 5-4 inside the conference.

Earlier this month, both Ridgecroft teams swept past Pungo Christian and Hobgood Academy.

Against Pungo, a conference foe, Ridgecroft’s jayvees won a three-set thriller – 25-16, 18-25, 15-13. The varsity Rams won in straight sets – 25-11, 25-9, 25-17.

Stepping outside the league wars vs. Hobgood, the Ridgecroft jayvees won 26-25, 14-25, 17-15 while the varsity also emerged victorious – 25-16, 25-21, 26-24.
