ELIZABETHCITY – Alvin Smith, 71 of Elizabeth City, a native of Gates County, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday July 6, 2015 at Walton’s Grove AME Zion Church, Hobbsville. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Gates, is handling the arrangements.
