Ervie W. Hoggard

WINDSOR – Ervie Girlean White Hoggard, 83, of 1319 Wakelon Road, Windsor, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. She was born in Bertie County on February 7, 1931 to late Ralph and Lula Mae Cale White and was predeceased by her husband, Mickey Hoggard; and brothers, Detroy, Dedrick and Elder White.

Girlean was the co-owner of Mickey’s Grocery and Mickey’s Grain. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 27, 2014 at Bethany Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. by the Rev. Tommy Tripp.  Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Hoggard of Ahoskie; sons, Ernie Hoggard and wife Anita, and Kris Hoggard, all of Colerain, Joey Hoggard and wife Lydia, Jeff Hoggard and wife Donna Cale, and Mitch Hoggard, all of Windsor; sisters, Nadine Hewitt of Windsor, and Ella Gray Thompson of Colerain; grandchildren, Travis Hoggard, Laura Bass, Ryan Hoggard, Grace Hoggard and Sophie Hoggard; and five great grandchildren, Walt, Maddox, Carter, Saylor and Thatcher.

The family will receive friends from the home.
