FAYETTEVILLE – Mrs. Veronica Elaine Leonard Bunch, age 49, died Monday, September 2, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Bunch was born in Portsmouth, VA. She loved to shoot pool with her friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Bunch is survived by her mother, Betty Jane Dickens Ouelleete of Ahoskie; her father, Butch Leonard and step-mother Kathy of Ahoskie; two daughters, Cindy Lassiter of Appomattox, VA and Lacey Claxton of Como; one son, Joshua Claxton and his wife, Jennifer, of Ahoskie; three sisters, Barbara Dickens of Ahoskie, Donna Place and her husband, Neal, of Creswell, and Deanne Leonard of Conway; and two grandchildren, Melissa Jane Leonard and Quincey Claxton.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie with the Reverend Ronnie Conner officiating.
