We just discovered this morning (Tuesday) that we made a big mistake in the production of Tuesday’s Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald. Page 5A, which is the page we always use to “jump” our front page stories, was incorrect, at least to the News-Herald.

Tuesday’s News-Herald and the weekly Gates County Index are both printed on Monday night. They each have their own articles, photos, ads…..and each has their own page 5A.

In the production stage of the printing process on Monday night, page 5A of the Index was mistakenly printed as page 5A of the News-Herald. That means our loyal readers did not have the opportunity to read the remaining portion of the five, front page stories.

We apologize for the error. The only way to correct this mistake is to reprint all front page articles and their respective “jumps” in Thursday’s edition.

In the meantime, all five of the front page stories in Tuesday’s print edition are published in their entirety here on our website. Those stories include:

Former HC Chief Deputy indicted

Jones leaves legacy

Windsor PD Chief announces retirement

Stolen van found in river

Great American Hero
