Monday, May 26 marks the annual observance of Memorial Day in the United States.

The day is set aside to honor and remember U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The following local events are planned for Monday, May 26:

10 am at the Veterans Memorial Park in Conway.

10:30 am at American Legion Post 102, located at 116 North McGlohon Street, Ahoskie.

11 am at the Murfreesboro Town Hall located on Broad Street.

11 am at the new Northampton County Courthouse, located at 128 East Jefferson Street, Jackson.
