MERRY HILL – The Salmon Creek State Natural Area will host a Kayaking 101 event from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at Bertie Beach, located at 243 Bal Gra Road, Merry Hill.

This is a full day event of entry-level training on kayaking safety on and off the water. It is co-sponsored by the American Canoe Association (ACA). You must register in advance through ACA’s website to attend (www.americancanoe.org).

There is a $15 registration fee.
