October 10, 1943 – April 26, 2025
MELISSA, TX – David Earl Williams, a devoted family man and dedicated serviceman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was born on October 10, 1943, in Colerain, North Carolina, to the late Irma Currin Williams and Joe Cephus Williams.
David graduated from Mars Hill School and then served our country with distinction in the Air Force for over 25 years. He earned numerous medals and ribbons before he retired. He continued his dedication to public service by working for the Department of Defense for 11 years. He retired and resided in Melissa, Texas.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Beth; his sisters, Alice Tayloe Lane and Dorothy (Libby) Perry.
He is survived by his three stepchildren, Bettina (Tina) Lynn Bowling of Terrell, Texas, Jeri Kay Calle (Tom Calle) of Blue Ridge, Texas, and Kevin Scott Martin (Patti Martin) of Oklahoma City, OK. He also leaves grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother Robert Williams (Betty Williams), his sister Nancy Taylor (Carroll Taylor), and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
As a devoted family man, David cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His kind and giving heart touched everyone who knew him. We will miss him dearly. Rest in peace. We love you.
Services will be held at Nashville Methodist Church, Nashville, North Carolina on June 3, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. and interment at Arlington National Cemetery is currently pending.
