Bertie Cooperative Extension offers strawberry jam canning class

WINDSOR – Learn the delicious and rewarding skill of preserving your own strawberry jam with NC Cooperative Extension in Bertie County.
Elizabeth Baker, Family Consumer Sciences Agent, will lead a hands-on canning class at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13 at the Bertie County Extension Office, located at 104 Lancaster Avenue, Windsor, NC 27983.
Participants in this class will learn step-by-step instructions on how to safely prepare and can homemade strawberry jam. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a valuable skill, ensuring you can enjoy the taste of fresh strawberries long after the season ends.
The cost to attend this informative class is $10 per person, and each participant will pick up their jar of jam they made the next day.
Space is limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
