ELIZABETH CITY – An on campus shooting here early Sunday morning at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) has left one person dead and five injured.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has been requested by the ECSU Police Department to assist. The SBI said the shooting occurred at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. The injured individuals were transported to a local medical center for treatment.
