MURFREESBORO – The Murfreesboro Historical Association, Inc. (MHA) will celebrate its first Kentucky Derby Party this year on Saturday, May 3.

This event, which begins at 5 p.m., promises to be fun filled with games, prizes, silent auctions, choosing your favorite horse in the Derby, and Hobby Horse races, along with food and beverages, cash bar, and more.

Also, like the Kentucky Derby, attire and hats will be judged and prizes awarded.

Please bring lawn chairs. This party is being held outside behind Dr. Walter Reed House, 311 E. Main Street, Murfreesboro (park in the adjacent lot).

This event is a fundraiser for MHA. All proceeds will go to MHA Operations and Property maintenance.

Tickets are $15 per person. They are available for purchase at the MHA office, located at 116 E. Main Street, Murfreesboro, or they can be purchased online at https://murfreesboronc.org/events. Office hours are 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday through Thursday.
